The meaning behind INTL Bean
The story behind INTL Bean began long before it became an apparel brand. In 2007, a close friend, Antonio Huchison, passed away. Antonio often used the acronym B.E.A.N. — Beautiful, Exotic and Natural — when talking about women. It was a simple phrase, but one that stayed with the founder and would eventually become part of something much bigger.
The dream of building a clothing brand took shape years later while running clothing and music shops at Tampa’s Magic Mall and Tampa Flea Market Mall. Fashion had always been a passion, but owning those stores made the idea of creating an original apparel brand feel possible. INTL Bean grew from that dream — a brand created for people from every background to wear with confidence, comfort and pride, while carrying forward a name with a deeply personal meaning.
